I took a 2 hour nap. I had intended to work outside, as we have a wonderful day but I am too draggy to do much. So I deem today a day off for Carol.

The 15th was 4 years since my stepson died and the 30th is 2 years since Johnny died and I've been struggling a little bit this month. I want to feel sorry for myself, really badly, but I'm trying not too cuz what good does it do? I've decided to plant a small garden, not sure why since I didn't eat hardly any of what I planted last year, but I can't seem to stop myself so today I fertilized strawbales for squash.

I think that sounds lika grand idea. ( The small garden) so you give a lot of it away...no matter you are having a good time and getting out in the fresh air. Good for you.
Sorry for the "Anniversaries" that are happening of late. I hope some more passed time will make these losses seem easier to think about.

Yup, it will get here....eventually but not before the storm again tomorrow. These past two weeks gave us as much snow as the month of December. I guess I'll have to garden in my dreams for awhile yet.

Well if it helps, Aside from some lettuce seeds and a few onion sets, it will be awhile until I get to do more gardening.

I'm going to direct sow. Sowing and then transplanting is a lot of work. I know you cold weather peeps have no choice but it will work out ok for me.
My farmers market opens for the season tomorrow and we've got 60% chance of rain. Wouldn't you just know it.

We had storms yesterday and last night. The schools in the area were all closing early..from noon to 1:00. To ensure everyone was home before the storms began.
We had computer generated tornado warnings last night, but none were sited in our area. I guess the high winds helped by blowing away from our area.
Today it is Sunny, cooler, but still windy.

Stay safe. I have been watching your news....such devastation from the tornado damage. They said that there were multiple fatalities as well.
The news has been so depressing lately, honestly....I should not watch it.

I amnot sure where spring is,. I think I will be going from winter to summer, so we will likely have about 20 minutes of spriñg.

I agree but they need to set up the 'promised system' where kids can go online on storm days to stay ahead. We are still waiting years after it was to be started. They are calling for melting weather here all week ahead.

Yay for melting weather. See, I knew it had to begin eventually.
It was cold yesterday here...you know, after being in the 70's a few days ago. Mother Nature is really confused. My beautiful magnolia tree/ bush had all of its blooms froze a few days back. Some days ya gotta wonder.
