Good morning. No rain for today...I better get some work done outdoors.

Went out with friends last night and had a great time. Today we're going bowling. Am I a good bowler you might ask. Nope.

I'm not a good bowler either Bestofour, I have only played a few times in my life but I did not improve any as of late.

We had a full day of dry weather. I spent most of it cleaning the inside of the vehicles and minor repairs outdoors. The to-do list never gets shorter.

Sorry the list does not get smaller but hey, at least you got some things off of the list, right ?

Sheri, sounds like you have been enjoying yourself. Good for you ! And I am not a good bowler. I am not sure that I have been since I got married.

Mother Nature is playing games again. It has been in the 90's all month with thunderstorms almost everyday. We get one fully dry day and it is calling for a chance of frost tonight.

Frost? That’s just too weird.

And I found out that for sure I am NOT a good bowler😁 but I had fun anyway.

Junie I still can’t post a picture in blooming fine and now if I try the second time I get a message that says my post has already been submitted but it never shows up.

They are calling for three dry days in a row so that means we are cutting all the fields for haying. I am going to try to re-stain the gables of the main shed if I can as well, I need to duplicate myself.

Well Sunny, you could always give up sleeping... AND/OR tell your family, when they are hungry they need to find something and eat it, as you will not be cooking until the next rain comes.

Not cooking? They'd die from shock and starvation.

Over half the fields are cut, the gable is painted and I even managed to cut the lawn. It was a productive day....and hopefully another one today.

We got a good rain shower here this morning. And that is a good thing.

Thanks Sunny. In the end we got 1-1/10 inches of rain. Tonight (wee hours of the night/morning) we could well get more.

Rise and shine. It is the third dry day here in a row, so we'll do all we can while we have it. It is calling for a week of rain again starting tonight.

I found a fat, spotted worm in my garden and it had a red horn thing on one end. I searched it up and the computer says it is a tobacco horned worm. No one grows tobacco in our province.

Wow ! I guess it took a wrong turn at some field or another, huh ??

Since 10 o'clock last night we have gotten 4-1/2 inches of rain. And the storm does not seem to be done yet.

I hope you are filling your buckets for future use. ~Any chance of getting your DH to try order another rain barrel? I know it did not work out last time....they should be going on sale soon.

Yea, probably not on the rain barrel. But that is a nice thought.

Last night I picked the first of the bush beans, dug up a potato plant, plucked an onion and thinned some carrots. I will be making a vegetable soup today for supper.

Oh soup, I love soup ! Enjoy some for me !!

I did, I added onion and carrot tops as well....it was delicious. Leftovers for lunch as well.

Good morning, more storms for today. I have to make a quick run for some milk and fresh fruit after lunch, tomorrow is a Civic holiday here so everything will be closed.

My blueberries are starting to ripen...they look yummy.

I hope your apples were cheaper than mine, over $4 a pound here. Just ridiculous.

I will let you know later today. I do think though that a 5 pound bag is cheaper than just buying apples loose. But I will let you know. Thing is I will not get to go to the Wal-Mart grocery, I will be going to a local chain that is closer to me. I do not prefer to do that.

Good morning. The sun is actually shining today.

The sun is shining today here as well but everything is soaked from last night. We are under a heavy rain fall warning for the next three days, it will be bad since they are already giving travel warnings for this system.

Well I went to the grocery today. I paid $6.99 for 3 pounds of apples (the bags used to be 5 pound size.)
Not only that, the apple I just ate was a red delicious...The bag says " Gala".

It has not been a good apple week.

Bad storms here since yesterday, we are water logged.

The lid on my washing machine broke ( plastic ya know) and I will not get one for at least a week. With having the kids, I cannot go to the laundromat. My DD offered me to use her machines but she will not be home to show me how hers work, and besides With how long these new terrible machines take to wash a load, I would have to get there at 7 am and I would probably still be there after supper, so I will pass on that.

If I have to I will wait until tomorrow. I will not have the kids then.

What broke on the lid?

I tore apart the entrance flooring today to fix the underlay. My house looks like a tornado went through it, all the entrance items including the chest freezer are now in my living room. I hope to have it fixed by tomorrow...then I have to lay down the new flooring since the old linoleum broke in pieces.

The underside ( plastic) where a metal arm holds and opens and closes the lid. Just the one side. Really frustrating. Just WHY would you make ANY of the machine plastic ??

IMO things are make cheaper, with less quality materials, charge more, and they do not last as long. OK...I will climb off of my soapbox now.

Things are definitely made cheaply these days. A friend bought a new frig - 4 have been sent out and3 have been picked up because they've all been broken. A repairman is being dispatched to try and fix the 4th one. I've suggested she not allow that to happen and either ask for her money back or demand a working one.

Yep, that is good advice. The repair man tried to get me to take a used lid that "might" fit. I kindly told him if a Less than 5 yr. Old life broke, what would make him think I would want a used lid. THEN he told me he would see if he could get it covered on the warranty.
