I also think that I planted my tomato plants too close together. I will have to find a better lay out for my tomatoes (and have less plants) next year. Perhaps I will add a big pot to my 2 raised beds. I had not thought of Tums..thanks for the idea, Sunny.

I use egg shells too so I don't have blossom end rot. It took forever for the blooms to turn into tomatoes and they just won't ripen. Cherry tomatoes are doing great here too.

Well I guess we can all hope for a better garden for next year, huh ?

Much warmer today outside. But at least the humidity is at bay.

Today was the first day in a week that was even sorta hot. But at least we do not have the humidity of a few weeks ago.

It rained here yesterday, all day.🌧️😃

The next time I mention painting my main entrance closet....please talk me out of it. My house looks like a hoarder was here....everything is all over the place while waiting for it to dry. How so much can fit in one closet just amazed me.

Try #2
Do not paint the closet for many many years. Clean out the closet, dust and clean the walls, shelves. Etc. then return things to the closet getting ride of what you no longer need to keep, while organizing the rest. No one sees much of your closet..no need to keep it freshly painted. Just keep it clean. (Easier and quicker)
Plus I am glad that you can fit a lot in your closet.
That is a good thing.

So glad it rained...a lot. That helped put out fires, made things damp so harder to burn, and I am sure it helped out your garden. I just hope it rained in lots of the rain ravaged areas.

Rod is still sick and is on his 8 th day, and I am still not sick. So yay !!

Poor Rod, that's a long flu bug.

It hadn't been painted for many years but all the dings and scrapes were bugging me. I'm going to have a few boxes to donate to the church.

I think it's supposed to be 89 here tomorrow and we could use some rain with non in sight for weeks. Seems it's either feast or famine. In Mississippi, where Ginger lives, they've been in a drought then it poured the night of Colt's first football game, and you know football doesn't stop for rain, so they were all soaked by the end of the game.

The only thing that was looking pretty good in my yard were my window boxes but since the stuff in them are fodder for butterfly larvae they look horrible too. It's doesn't take those caterpillars long to defoliate a plant. They're better than goats.

I need to paint.

I used to love to paint, now it is a chore. I guess getting older does that to a person. I just can't imagine painting for people like I used to do in my way younger years. Never going to happen again in my mind. 🙄

We got a full day of rain but it is still not enough. Everything is so crispy.

At least you got the rain you got. I am sure it helped.

I have never liked to paint. I have done what I needed to do in the past years. That is why this house will never be painted. It is still ok. We just do repair painting
Rod just finished the outside of the door leading out from the sun room
Heidi says it looks real nice. I agree.

Good afternoon. The second closet is done...it was easy this time around. It was just our dress clothes and bedding in it.

We have been getting crazy colored aurora borealis this week, pinks and purples in the sky. It is so pretty.

I think we were supposed to see that here as well. But one has to take a picture of the sky then look at the photo to see it, ( But that does work) however, I have not. Yet.

It was so bright here that you could see it with just your eyes...no pic needed.
