Frost for tonight, the weather is all over the place.

In the mid 70's today, and in the high 40's and into the 59's the last few days. Then it is forecast to be in the 90's Wednesday thru Sunday..
Mother nature needs to get her act together.

I covered my tomatoes and peppers. I got a bit in the freezer but I'll try get more if I can...every freezer bag counts.

GG is sick, the joys of back to school.

Sorry for Grand Girl. My Valarie said the same thing about her kids getting sick right after school started here.

Today I learned that sweet banana peppers are not sweet....they are hot. 😬

Good to know..but I really do not use peppers much anyway..but you have probably saved me a problem so thanks...( did you find out the hard way ?? just asking.)

Yes, I chopped up one and put it in my sloppy Joe sauce. My mother loves spice so she said she'd take them, I have over a gallon to pick.

Watching several 9-11 ceremonies on TV this morning.
It has been 24 years.

Today for lunch I had the best tomato sandwich with the darkest red, sweetest tasting tomato from my garden and then tonight I had okra. I got one cucumber today and I think it will be the last but there are 8 more tomatoes waiting to ripen.

My weather is cool in the morning but hot in the afternoon.

24 years. Seems like yesterday.

I have several green tomatoes, I just hope they ripen. I have 1 red ripe tomato left to eat.
Good news is that I have several green "sun sugar cherry tomatoes". That type of tomato plant is very prolific.

I think next year I will plant a tomato plant on each end of my 2 raised beds. Then I will plant whatever else in the middle. potatoes I guess.

Same here with weather, Sheri. Cool in the morning and hot in the afternoon and evening. Tonight after 6, I will say I could stand to go out though. That is when I watered everything.

I was going to ceramics, and heard it on the radio. My friends there didn't believe me....until another person came that had been watching TV at home, and told us what she heard

Yes, I remember that day, I was ironing curtains. The news was showing the building....then the second plane hit.

It has been cool in the mornings here but perfect in the afternoons. You can feel Fall in the air.....but we are still in desperate need of rain.

We are all in desperate need of rain. I spent last night double watering my garden and veggies.. This extra hot weather has likely killed one of my sage plants that I took from my Dad's plant when we were cleaning out the house/yard after momma passed. I guess I will let it go for now and then cut it back in the spring and see if it comes back.

We are tackling outdoor chores today.

I watered my granddaughter's veggie plants this morning. This afternoon we are all going to a baby shower. It will be grand.

I went to the farmers market, didn't buy anything, then did a few things in the yard. Church tomorrow and nothing else planned. I don't work again until sometime in October so I'm at loose ends. I'm trying to quit and I'm working less to see how I'll deal with it.

I love farmers markets. They are so fun !!

Good luck with managing your time, Sheri. Do you have any hobbies other than gardening ? That is fun, but it is seasonal after all.

Seeing old friends is fun - most of the time

I read and am in a book club, go to Bible study once a week, church on Sunday and I go sometimes on Wednesday and if I quit work I can go to places with my Sunday school class sometimes if I want, I go to the gym which I can get back into regularly. I have friends I can see more often. I'll just have to wait and see how things progress.

Well good for you, you have many things to keep you busy. Glad to hear it. And, keep us posted on your decision

I was awake in the middle of the night, came in to see what was going on here.
So I figured with no sleep I would be drug out the next day.
This morning I was too warm to sleep so I got up. I have been awake for an hour.
Today will not be easy either.

I WAS going shopping for a pair of shoes. My DD and I both needed shoes. My GG was all excited. She told me "for some reason it is more fun if you go shopping with us" LOL that made a Grandma smile.
But they were asked to take the kids to see a sick ( non-contagious) relative. So perhaps we will go next weekend.
I guess I will read this weekend instead.

I'll be by at noon, and we can go to lunch first.
They your family they can fend for themselves.
After lunch we can go yard sale shopping. Should be fun if nothing else.

We are back in the red, we can't even light a BBQ.

I sure would of I could We were in drought conditions, but night before last we got 1-1/2 inches of rain and it has been raining this afternoon as well. Needless to say we are ever so pleased.

The rain we got sure helped Heidi's " garden".

Well, our post offices are on strike again. By the time they are done, more people will lose their jobs with more offices closing. You can't fight and win against the government.
