I haven't made a scratch cake in a long time and don't plan on it. I think the last one I made was a red velvet cake. I think chocolate and white mixes taste better from the box than from scratch. I've made brownies to take to Shelley's tomorrow.

Junie, where does you SIL live to be getting lettuce and onions? Did you get my text?

My SIL, Brian lives about 10 minutes from me. He is just an eternal optimist that has to cover his garden an awful lot in early spring. The onions are sorta small in diameter but I like them like that.
And yes. I agree box mixes are a lot more moist.

It is 12:50 am and I just got done for the night. Valarie and her family are coming over for an Easter Brunch tomorrow.
And. I will be getting up at 6 to make berry muffins with crumb topping before church. I can sleep another day

Happy Easter to you all.
( I say that now in case I do not get back in in the morning time.)

A blessed Easter to all. ✝️

It is still storming, I have more snow now then I had at Christmas. We will have a family supper next weekend, no one can travel in this mess.

I have to cover my garden often as well Junie, I just keep jumping ahead of when I should plant in June. 😉

Junie, did you get my text message that dodge is trying to contact you? She wants you to text her.

Lettuce is a late fall and early winter crop for me. Covering it probably wouldn't do me any good. I did use to be able to grow it a while longer in the pretend greenhouse using a space heater.

I went to Shelley's for lunch. Tracy, her husband, has had recent surgery and he didn't feel like coming here. I've decided I'm a midget. I hate being so short but I really didn't realize it until my grandchildren got so much taller than me.

Sunny, sorry about all your snow but I'd like a bit of that moisture.

Sheri. I did not get your message..first I will PM you my number so you can see if you have the correct number.then I will text you. And thanks for telling me. I do not get much lettuce either. My SIL told me I could plant 10 days before my frost dates.

We had a very nice meal here, it was nice to be able to spend the morning and afternoon with my family. I am glad you had a good time with your family, Sheri

I am happy to hear that you both had a nice family gathering, ours will be next weekend. It is still snowing a bit. What a mess out there.

Bestofour, I am short as well. It didn't bother me in my younger days but now that I have gained so much weight, I wish I was taller.😉

Junie, I just sent you a message.

We got a little bit of rain yesterday, not a lot, but some is better than none. We're so dry and everything looks so nice after the rain.
