Yes. Thin coat then buff pan before heating.
I've been pretty much worthless today and it's already noon. I've got to check out my little garden.

Good afternoon, I cleaned and mopped this morning then pulled weeds between showers.

Wow, you are committed, Sunny. Good for you !!! I have found it is best to weed right after a good rain. The weeds pull out so much easier. Good.luck, Sheri. Thanks for the reminder. I need to preseason my pans. I should do like Sunny does especially with the water softener that we use. It seems to be the main.problem here.

I have to be committed Junie, we can't get any dry weather to keep up with the weeds. 😉

And we can't get any rain so ALL that's growing is weeds. Why can weeds grow without water anyway? Junie when we first moved into this house we had a water softener. When we dug the new well we no longer need a softener so we kept the old well for watering only. It was expensive to water plants and the yard with the softener because the additives, salt mostly I think, cost a lot. I had another massage today and I wish I had known about this in the beginning. I regret spending all the money on the pain doctor (which works for a lot of people) and acupuncture (which also works for a lot of people). That stupid wreck happened 2 years ago yesterday. I can't get another appointment until July 11th - she's soooo busy.

I'm glad that you found something to help Bestofour, make sure to book your appointments a few months ahead if possible.... especially if you find someone you like. Too funny about the weeds, if everything else could grow in such horrid conditions...we'd have beautiful gardens.

Sunny, she has her appointment book fixed through August and I took every available appointment. Even doing that my next appointment isn't until July 11th. I'm on the cancellation list and told her I'd take any day or any time. She's solid booked. I'm very thankful that it's helped.

I am very happy that you found something that helps you Bestofour. To find relief is a wonderful thing. When you see your massucuse (?) on July. You should tell her how often you want appointments when starts her next schedule. My momma used to say. If you don't ask the answer is no, so why not ask. You have nothing to lose. Sometimes weeds are all that grows. That is a sad situation for sure. Goodnight ladies.

The fact that you can take any day and any time might make getting appointments by cancellations an easy thing, I do hope so.
I finally got a call for my mammogram in July. It stormed for my appointment this Winter and every cancellation appointment they called with, was in a storm as well. I got fed up and told them to call me for July from now on. 😉

Yep for my mammogram I kept being to!d the Dr either as not taking appointments for that time frame or that they had no openings. Then they called me in December for the 23 rd and yes the weather was not good and it is over a 2 HR drive in heavy traffic. I am sure I have complained before. I wish the Drs. were not so lacidasical here. Then they over react on other things. I just do not feel safe using these doctors.
Glad you have your mammogram scheduled Sunny. Good for you.

I'm at the point that any doctor would do. They were supposed to hire more nurse practitioners but I haven't seen any clinic that got one.

Gosh Junie, that's a long way. Before the next appointment try and find something closer.
I have told her that I'd like a standing appointment but she's already full with standing appointments. She even works sometimes on Saturday's. I've got one July 11th and then another one after that (can't remember) so I'm hoping I'll be better but I'm still taking anything that's open.
I knew it was just a matter of time but I saw squash bugs today - LOTS -. I killed all I saw but you know once they start it's a task.

I love that you can see the bugs..I never can. And yes. I can get a closer Dr. BUT that is how I worked it back in the day .and I ended up with a cystocele which supposedly was corrected and somewhat of a rectocele that I can deal with, then I have had 4 hernia operations and a total mesh repair....now I only go to Drs. In the St. Louis area..which used to be 45 minutes away and is now as I said. BUT I am checking into a closer satellite facility if I can pick out the correct one.

We get squash bugs here as well. The worse of all bugs are those potato bugs for me....I won't give in to use a poison spray. The joys of being a woman gets us all Junie, doesn't it? 😘 They fixed my bladder and bowel issues when they did my hysterectomy, my insides were all webbed together from adhesions. Knock on wood, she did an amazing job. She is now retired though.

Well, I made 14 small bottles of strawberry jam. It will be delicious this winter on home made bread.

I used to make strawberry jam but Ginger moved away and Shelley decided it was too sweet for her and my mother died so I stopped. I love it but don't want to eat it all myself. I now eat raspberry jam that I buy at the grocery store because raspberries is the first ingredient. Other jams I like have sugar as the first ingredient so I don't buy them.

Can you get Smuckers jam there? They have no added sugar jam and jelly. I haven't made raspberry jam in many years. I liked the taste but not the seeds, and it was hard to get enough to make a batch of jelly. The DNR brought a Bear trap to the family across the road, they had it caught within an hour. I hope they bring the trap back....there are plenty more roaming.

It's a normal thing here, we live in the boonies. Black bears are usually only dangerous if you mess with a mama bear who has cubs. It was dry enough for me to cut grass this morning. DH done the weed whacking in the ditch for me....he must be really bored. He despises lawn work. It gave me time to get weeding done as well. I was so dirty that I had to take a shower before I could soak in the tub. 😂 Now, to decide on supper.

Odd you should say that..We had snakes in the back yard..(my DH thought there was no reason to mow the barn lot, which was straight out the back door) the snakes loved that decision..me, not so much. He quickly reversed his decision.

We don't have poisonous snakes here so that's not a worry.
The one fear I had for wild life was sharks. Especially since they told us as kids that a great white was spotted in the village near here. They were telling the truth....I'd only swim at the river, never in the ocean. Watching the movie Jaws never helped the situation.🦈

First: I just do not like snakes ..any of them .plus my girls were small, so having snakes in the yard was not going to happen. Jaws...yep, I took my brother to see jaws..I hated going..but he promised that he would tell me when the "bad" parts were starting......he did not...

My mother is TERRIFIED of snakes.
I was obsessed with watching Jaws, I still watch it when any of them come on.😆
We got a full dry day today, the black flies are terrible though. Oh well, it's flies or snow.

I watch Jaws every time it comes on. It fascinates me.
We've finally gotten a bit of rain. Not a lot but I didn't have to water the garden this morning and won't have to again tomorrow morning. So thankful for this bit of moisture.
Colt and I meet my friend Silvia for dinner tonight. She went to Jamaica with me to Ginger and Chris's wedding and I think she's come to every shower in my family and to Darbi's wedding. She's a good friend.

Do you keep in contact with your friends from home, Junie?

Yes, yes I do keep in contact with my friends from home. And when I get to " vacation" at home. I try to go visit them as well. A few of them come down here to visit me occasionally as well.
Humidity is terrible here as well Sunny. Temps starting today and going the next ,,7 ish days will be in the mid to high 90's with heat indexes being in the triple digits. I guess "summer" has arrived.
I will go outside this evening and pick blackberries.

We are under severe thunderstorms this afternoon, i can hear thunder rumbling and the sky is slowly getting darker in color. It's supposed to hit around 7 pm here from what I can see on the radar.

We had a storm with a lot of wind and thunder this afternoon and got more rain. Colt and I went to the gym then down to Shelley's for dinner. Not sure what tomorrow holds but I know I won't need to water anything and that's so nice.

We've been out in the yard and I've been picking up sticks. All the wind yesterday made a mess BUT over the last 3 days I've gotten 3/4 inch of rain and everything has perked up. Life would be better if I could get a little rain every week.
Colt and I went to the gym today and that's about it. He doesn't want to go to the movie. Says he's not bored. I'm going to order pizza tonight.
Junie is there a book club at the library you can join or a Bible study at your church or a neighborhood walking group. It's hard to make friends in a new area when you don't have school aged children. When I think about moving that's exactly what I think about - how hard it will be to make friends.

I was walking with a neighbor lady, and that was nice..then when her DH had to go to swim therapy she began going with him. She got to go as often as she wants for $10.00 a month. So that was the end.of.walking with her in the heat Other problem is my DH is not a social person so I cannot say invite.my neighbors over...they might then as us over. my church would not work either...for a.few.reasons. but thank you for thinking of me. I may start going to the local library by myself. At least it would get me out. And yes about the not having g school age children. I say have Colt stay and visit with you as long as possible.

Junie, is there any crafters guilds in your area? Maybe you could find a book club....ask at the library when you go.😘
I'm not a social person either, I used to be but it was too tiresome. 😂
Enjoy your boy while you have him around Bestofour.
