Well, next year's wood is cut and in my back yard. Hopefully Ill get it split by the weekend. This weather is just beautiful for this time of year, I feel spoiled.

Sunny, what type of trees do you guys burn?

I went to Bible study this morning and had plans to do things outside, since it's lovely out there, but have been too lazy.

if it helps any Bestofour, I intended to finish cleaning out the last of my files. but instead I made out Halloween cards. What I thought would take 1 hr. took me 3...shaking my head......I guess there is always tomorrow, huh ??

Junie, at least you are getting chores done, no matter which one.

Bestofour, we burn maple, birch(that's our hardwood) and then a few trees of whatever else that falls from storms to mix in....usually fir(that makes quick, hot fires).

got too hot for me to go back to sleep, so I got up and cleaned the kitchen...now I am here.

I hope you get to rest up today, Junie.

The sun is shining, the weather is beautiful outside. I'm going to find something to keep me outdoors all day.😉

Junie, did you get your files cleaned out? I finally made it to the gym. I always feel better when I go. Shelley bought me a long sweater with pockets that my hands can reach (bet you guys don't have that problem) and since Shelley is out of town for her anniversary Aubry brought it over today. A few years ago Ginger bought me one and I've worn it out so now Shelley has found me another. Perfect length and my hands will go in the pockets. I'm going to try and post a picture in the picture spot. Wish me luck. My old sweater is gray but there wasn't a gray in a petite but I'm gonna wear my new one with everything even if it doesn't match. Don't judge me

I posted on your pic. You can wear that color with anything, it is very nice. Your girls are very thoughtful. I don't have a problem with reaching pockets....I have a problem with buttoning my sweaters since I have gained so much weight over the years. 😂

Sadly I have not..my foot hurts so I cannot make myself go down the stairs...that really hurts. Tomorrow it will be a week that I have been waiting for the Drs. office to call me about starting physical therapy. but given the jabbing pain that I have been having I may just go to an urgent care if I don't hear from my Dr by Tuesday.

no I really do not have that pocket problem. But I am surely looking forward to seeing your sweater.

It is another beautiful day here, this is the nicest Fall that I can remember having.

Junie, call the doctor tomorrow and tell them about the horrible pain and that you need help now rather than later. Also ask to where the referral was made so you can call if necessary. Health care is terrible. Can you take ibuprofen or Tylenol? I feel for you.

I wore my sweater today I thought I looked lovely

The high here today was 71° and lovely. We are just so dry and there's no rain in sight. We're going to dry up if this keeps up.

I agree. Bestofour. but I will wait until well after lunch or to call early Tuesday morning. But yes. this is not right.

I wish I could take ibuprofen..that is what would do the most good, but no I cannot. and no plain Aspirin either. I can and have taken Tylenol but I just as well eat a few pieces of candy, do I have not bothered to try again but I guess I could try taking Tylenol again

We have only had a sprinkle in the past weeks as well but some mornings the frost is heavy to soak everything. I have flowers rebloomimg behind my house facing south.

I too have flowers blooming. My hummingbirds that stuck around loved them. But while the flowers are blooming yet (Red Penstemon Eaton) the hummers are long gone...but they did stay past October 10, which is the last day they were thought to stay here in this area.

Actually I picked ripe tomatoes today as well.

nice here...but supposedly scattered rains are settling in on Friday or Saturday for a few days.
I know my cold weather is headed my way soon as well.

I cut back all the astilbes and rudbeckias. It's easier to clean the mess and leaves in Fall.
