this is a disclaimer, these are NOT MY PLANTS... so please, no compliments... but they are beautiful so here you go!

first is what i think is indian hawthorne. at least that is what my daughter calls it. it is in front of applebee's.

the second is cherokee rose... not the best pic, but the wind was blowing and i was not really happy to be where i was when i took it.

a closer pick of the white

and the closest of the white

and while the white does have a fragrance, it is not as fragrant as the purple. (i smelled them while i was taking the pictures)

oh, and for the record, if anyone needs a very thorny barrier plant, the cherokee rose is a good one. the thorns on it are near an inch long or longer!

yes it can. i have a source for all the cuttings i want (cherokee rose), i tried some a couple of years ago and didn't get anywhere with them. i'm going to try again. i want some wisteria, but haven't gotten that far. i had some, and let it die when i was dealing with ellie's wedding.

Hi Jiffy!

Wow! You took some great shots. The purple and white wisteria are gorgeous. I'm glad you took in a smell or two as I was going to ask you if they were fragranced and which was more profuse. :)

I had not seen white wisteria until last week. Years ago, I planted a purple wisteria in a pot. Never did it bloom. :( It did live for years though, then finally died.

Thanks again for those great shots of plants down your way!
