Last year, my Mom bought me a hydrangea and it was blue. I planted it in peat moss and soil. It had it's first bloom just recently and it was light pink and just a little green too. I liked it blue. I think I want it to be blue again. I know it has to do with acidity of the soil. What steps do I take? It's in a pot. Is there an easy fix? I like pink alright, but I thought I was going to get blue this year. I need some advice, please.

Anyone recommend pinefines? And if so, how do I use them?

we just mulch with pine needles, but for a potted plant, there is something called mira-cid by miracle gro that you can get to feed it that will blue it up.

If I'm not mistaken, hydrangea blooms will change colours according to the ph of the soil. pine needles are acidic, hence the flowers will bloom red. try mixing in some lime to make the blooms blue...don't over do it or you won't have any more blooms, you'll be left with a dead clump lol
acidic soil = pink blooms
alkaline soil = blue blooms

Hmmmm. My tag says "The flowers grow up to 8" in diameter, with pink blooms in alkaline soils and blue blooms in acidic soils."

I will try the mira-cid. I would stay with the pink if they were brighter blooms, but the color is blah.

I keep mine blue with ammonium sulphate.
