These Garden Plant Profiles were written to give you all the basics you'll need to get your new plant started growing right! On this list, the flowers, Plants, and Shrubs are listed by their common names. Plant Care Guides listed by botanical name. Growing guides for different plant groupings. (From that guy they call The Garden Helper)

I bought Hollyhock. I thought they were bulbs, but when I opened the bag they were these long roots. Are these tubers??? I have no idea as to how to plant them! It says on the bag to plant them 1" deep, but they are like 6 inches long! The bag has no diagrams. Please help!!!!!

I'm so glad you posted this. It reminded me that I am giving one of my horseradish plants away and I need to take it to church today.
To answer your question I have one like your first one with the narrow white edge but I don't have one like your second one. That one sure is colorful isn't it. I really like it and would love a division when I get to the new place.
Also after mine have grown up some would you like divisions of the ones that aren't shown in these pictures?
