With all this rain these two plants? have grown tall I thought the first one was Pigmy torch The leaves are the right shape BUT not the right color?? 1st one......pigmy torch or weed.......or something else? 2nd one?? What is it??........, Thanks for any input!!

There are actually several different types of amaranthus (pygmy torch) so it could still be one. It also looks similar to perennial lobelia. It will be easier to identify when/if it blooms.
The second one looks very familiar but....I just can't think...

Thanks Alan!! I'm glad to hear the first still may be pigmy torch! I've done a search on the second one but still haven't came up with anything!! It just keeps taller and taller with no sign of a bloom bud as with the first picture?

maybe it's one of the other celosia varieties?
cockscomb or amaranthus?

It's not cockscomb Joclyn Thanks Tho it may be a amaramthus?? Still don't know!! Maybe I just have to wait and see if it blooms I wonder how tall I should let it get before I decide it's a weed HAHAHAHHA

Gosh, I'm totally drawing a blank on the 2nd photo, are the stems woody? I agree that the first might well be an Amaranthus of some type, do you remember if anyone sent you seeds of "Love Lies Bleeding"? Amaranthus caudatus has foliage that is sort of chartreuse. Just a wild guess.

At the beginning of this thread I didn't know what the top picture was It now has blooms....... about 3 ft tall and 'Still don't know what it is....
