Hello fellow gardeners,

My name is Amy, I live in the philly suburbs.

I am moving into a new apartment located in a huge victorian home.

The land is beautiful. The house sits on a 7 acre farm, next to a stream.

We will have a huge stone patio, half covered, a yard, and wrap around porch.

There are landscaped plots around the entire patio, that the last tennents let fall apart.... sad

I have never gardened, planted or ANYTHING in my life.

I want to make our new home beautiful but I need HELP! I don't even know where or HOW to start! I have so many questions!

First I know I have to clean out the area, and get potting soil...but what do I plant. The only thing I can handle is a hanging basket!!!!

I want to be able to sit outside and enjoy the serenity of my new home and I can't wait to get started!!!

Thanks and hope to talk to all of you

any help is MUCH appreciated!!

heya, neighbor!! i'm in montco...where abouts are you?

we're zone 6b here which gives a decent range of things to plant that are perennial...and more tropical things can be done on an annual basis.

let me know if you need any help with things specifically for this area!
