We had our first head of Romaine lettuce out of the garden last night and boy was it ever good on those grilled hamburgers Finished planting all my tomatoes yesterday and got in asparagus peas the other day. Did cukes, cantaloupes and green peppers today. Hope to get green beans and okra in tomorrow. Can't wait for it all to mature! I just know more of you southern types are beginning to eat out of your gardens--what are ya havin?

I had my first bunch of Asparagus last night for supper. My lettuce is probably ready as well.

Ooooh! I'm jealous over Amigatec's asparagus! I love it but haven't had time to work up a bed to grow it in :( Maybe next year.

I'm having lettuce that I overwintered, and still the last of the mache (corn salad). It's starting to shoot up flower stalks, so I need to pick the rest of it to hold it in the fridge. I'm also having green onions, and have spinach to use, but haven't picked any yet.

My seeds are still in the packages... *I suppose I could go gnaw on some of my over wintered Swiss Chard.. but it's a little mushy until it gets back going again... I thinkkkkkkkk I'll wait!!*

I have green onions and some of the lettuce that overwintered. I'm waiting for it to get bigger. It really hugged the ground when we had those cold snaps.

I have a raised garden & I STILL cannot get into it,(every time it just about dries out enough to till, it rains again.)--well with the exception of my aspargus--I have had some of it. I guess I could plant some lettuce & such in pots------
