I had that happen on a wireless Logitech keyboard. What kind of board do you have? You can probably contact the brand's maker and tell them. I've heard that happen from other people and they contacted the maker and got a new keyboard. Now if it's a laptop, I don't know what to tell you....hopefully you know where all of your letters are!
I'm a medical transcriptionist (I'm working right now!) from home, and I have letters worn off all the time and my son wonders 'how do you know which letters are where mom?" :)
Half the time I can't see the keyboard anyway---at night I forget to turn the light on....good thing that there are the little bumps on the f and j keys so you know where the home keys are.
I went to college to be an admin. assistant. I minored in the medical field.....
I dont look at the keyboard when I type, at all... Once you've had lessons it sticks with you.
I did take computer classes for a while and typing at school.
b
well I had classes too---2 or 3 in typing at least---and I too was in the medical field (medical records---or Health Information Technology as it is called now---but somewhere along the way I goofed up on the typing--I guess I need to buy a new mavis beacon program
About the keys---one could always "tape" the letters on----

ASDF LEFT HAND JKL: IS RIGHT HAND.........Hold the hands there and you get used to all the keys eventually....
I had a disk on that an gave it away...... asdf jkl;
type it over and over an then advance from there..
The Bumps is where each hand puts the first finger next to the thumb. That is the starting position of each hand. We had 2 hands Right and Left.... If you put the hands there each time you start ....You learn faster.
asdf.....finger ...............left hand JKL; right finger
That is the beginning ...If you hold that and juke typing each day without lifting of the hand ......You will begin to learn.
I had typing lessons in business class, and typing 30 words a minute was required to pass the course...killed me. still hasn't stuck to me yet. Though sometimes I can type without looking at the keyboard like I am right now...this sentence is taking forever to type! lol!!!!

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. Mary Ann LaPensee
