I had that happen on a wireless Logitech keyboard. What kind of board do you have? You can probably contact the brand's maker and tell them. I've heard that happen from other people and they contacted the maker and got a new keyboard. Now if it's a laptop, I don't know what to tell you....hopefully you know where all of your letters are! lol

I'm a medical transcriptionist (I'm working right now!) from home, and I have letters worn off all the time and my son wonders 'how do you know which letters are where mom?" :)

Half the time I can't see the keyboard anyway---at night I forget to turn the light on....good thing that there are the little bumps on the f and j keys so you know where the home keys are. thumbup

I went to college to be an admin. assistant. I minored in the medical field..... thumbup

I dont look at the keyboard when I type, at all...
Once you've had lessons it sticks with you.

I did take computer classes for a while and typing at school.

About the keys---one could always "tape" the letters on---- notme

on a very old keyboard, i know someone who printed the letters, small like, and then cut them out and taped them to the keys. why

i don't look either, although, for some of the numbers, i have to when i am tired...

I didn't even know there were bumps on the F/J keys. I have to watch the keyboard or my typing would look like Cindy's.

What a Healthy reaction , I got from that one..
I dont look at the board when I type, but sometime I for something different, like numbers I do.
I am not a professional at all......Just had typing in school and it did stick to me

ASDF LEFT HAND
JKL: IS RIGHT HAND.........Hold the hands there and you get used to all the keys eventually....

I had a disk on that an gave it away...... asdf jkl;

type it over and over an then advance from there..

The Bumps is where each hand puts the first finger next to the thumb. That is the starting position of each hand.
We had 2 hands
Right and Left.... lol
If you put the hands there each time you start ....You learn faster.

asdf.....finger ...............left hand
JKL; right finger

That is the beginning ...If you hold that and juke typing each day without lifting of the hand ......You will begin to learn.

I better shut up..

What you say about learning to type is true Barb, but then there are people like me who insist on looking.

I am so bad that once I caught myself NOT looking & actually memorizing the keys so made my self start looking again. nono notme

I had typing lessons in business class, and typing 30 words a minute was required to pass the course...killed me. still hasn't stuck to me yet. Though sometimes I can type without looking at the keyboard like I am right now...this sentence is taking forever to type! lol!!!!
