I know, I know. It's a weird name for a bird . Well I just thought you people would like to see some photos of this bird. They are only found in a few countries(South Africa, Europe, Asia and North Africa) For more info go to wiki : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoopoe ... P.s. Heres some photos I took of it
When I first saw the photo I said what a cool bird then it dawned on me that this bird isn't native to the Americas', because I couldn't remember seeing it in any of my research books for North and South America.

P.S. I flew into South Africa when I was in the Air Force on a relief mission.

The Hoopoe is my FAVORITE non-North American Bird. It is found all over Europe and Africa. It reminds me of a Punk Northern Flicker. It is one of the coolest birds I have ever seen anywhere.
