This is a photo of me 'n Maxi taken during his first year....
We were at a reunion that day with all the other babies who'd been in the NICU with us.
So, anyone else have a "remember when" photo to share?

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart? The other heart was given to another for us to find.
I keep that photo on my desk, Penny. It has always been a favorite.

What a nice picture Merme! I really like it a lot, he was so cute and you looked very happy!
2 of my favs. I was 19 then and holding bottles of water! And yes I have a flannel shirt on, it was the 90's during the grunge thing...but I wasn't grungy, but I could wear flannel!
The tree pic with us 3 kids is one of my all time favs!
I love your pictures, loz! I just posted in CH that I wished you'd post one of your wedding pictures here. You were such a lovely bride.
I think I like the tree photo the best.
Oh, and you are right: I was deliriously happy that day!!

oh, not to worry, loz and Penny! If you can't hijack a thread in Banter, where else can you?! Help yourselves.... it's all about having fun.

Your headpiece was so lovely, loz. Remind me: did the shawl part of your gown come off? You were so pretty in it, but not everyone could wear a shoulder design like that... you must have been the envy of your social set!

Yes it was removeable! I kept it on the whole time though because it was November and it gave a little more coverage.
The headpiece was my sisters....she married in July of the same year so I figured why buy a new one when she has one already. It was my something borrowed.
Penny the water was a clear bevarage that may or may not have been associated with Coors....sort of lemon-limey flavored water like sprite. It was really popular that year.
I remember that Z stuff, Loz, and it was really popular that year. Even I liked it!

And Afgrey ~ I have seen that helicopter picture of you before and it is a terrific pic. I am so glad you put it up again.
Got any more?

That is such a nice picture of you, Wrennie. Do you have a framed version somewhere in your house?
I didn't used to have a scanner either until I upgraded my printer. I ended up purchasing the Lexmark All In One when it went on sale at Target. It is printer copier, fax and scanner. It even has a telephone headset which I never use because I do not have a land phone line. It was quite a bargain on sale.

Heck no!! What do I want to look at me for? I also look like I'm about to fall asleep standing there! YUp those seeds look like a nice soft comfy bed to me!
Here these are framed & in my office. (I took a pic of a pic to post them) Here is Me & Marton when we first got together Summer 2000. We were on a camping trip to Mongaump pond with 2 other families. I call this our hippie picture!

This is a photo of me and two of my sisters taken in 1963, the year we moved to Miami. Notice the original version of "artificial Christmas trees" behind us? The thing was aluminum and you couldn't put lights on it. There was a 4 color colorwheel that sat on the floor and changed its colors that way.

We Northern children were so shocked you couldn't get a live Christmas Tree in Miami. People had the small, potted, miniature ones for their table tops. My folks bought the aluminum one so we could have a tree. Us kids thought it waw a hoot. We were delighted to be back in PA for Christmas of 1964 with real trees and snow....

And I although I have seen the 1974 photo before, I think it is a GREAT photo! and it is so nice to see it again!
I can tell which one you are, Triss. But I'm chuckling 'coz no one has ventured a guess as to which one I am in the one of "us three girls" from 1963.

I've always been VERY blonde in my natural hair color, Triss, with the overtones as silver rather than gold.
In this photo, I was 7, Ro beside me was 10, and Nancy on the far right was 9.
So you were right! There ya go again, paying attention to details!

Sorry, Trissy! I just went back to edit my post! I meant my other left! Forgive me, I am sometimes right/left challenged!! Nancy is the one with the very dark hair.

Yes, it is astonishing how much Lys looks like Triss!
When I dug that old photo of my sisters and I out of the album, I showed it to Maxi and asked him to guess which one was Mommy? He guessed right off which one I was and so I asked him "how did you know, Maxi?" and he laughed, saying "It looks just like me!" And he is right.
