Oh, I so enjoyed looking at all your photos! What a beautiful, beautiful result you achieved. Thank you so much for sharing your woek. Did you also keep a written journal of the effort?

But why were we given only one heart? The other heart was given to another for us to find.

no journal, but lots of photos and the job still has a long way to go....should be mostly done by the end of this summer. I've tried to keep it as wild as possible but sometimes wild is not so colorful.....can't wait for the foxgloves to bloom!!

Beautiful Dan, welcome back. I was talking about you a few weeks ago in a post about the beautiful work you do as a blacksmith.
I've been to Nova Scotia a few times when DH used to drive transport. How close are you to Halifax?

thank you. there is still a long way to go....(my photos don't show all the beds I have'nt done anything with yet...andafter this growing season I'll be moving lots of plants so that they are located in the right spots (height wise and in relation to soil and sun/shade) I'm learning to really love wildflowers and I think I'll always be a grower of them, however they are a weeding nightmare and they can be a little unpredictable, but the reward for me is the "natural" environment. the birds love it!

thanks tamara. I'm still doing blacksmithing but less and less all the time, I'm considering getting out of the metalworking business and going into farming, my family have a 16 acre spread in Newfoundland that would be a hard place to farm but with 20 years of work it could be something! I was thinking it would be a great place to cultivate alpines since so many beautiful alpines come from the west coast of newfoundland. anyone else interested in alpine plants? (need to build my future customer base ;) )
