If I cut about 3 feet off of my sheffelera, can I root out the piece I cut off? Thanks for the info!

You could try. But it would be better to use the branch tips. More likely to take root for you. They grow fast so you will have real "plants" in a relatively short period of time.

are you trying to propagation it if so it is best to take a stem cutting in summer use a rooting hormone.I did and my is growing good.here is mine
