Just wondering if there is anything I can do to keep bees from haunting my yard around my new wisteria. I just bought it and it is not here yet.
Nothing. Just ignore them. Theyre very beneficial insects. Thats kinda like pputting out a basket of halloween treats and asking how to keep the kids away
LOLOLOL!!! I remember when I was a kid growing up in Louisiana. We had a wisteria located right beside our gate in the back yard. My father was a stickler about us always using the BACK door, not the front and the gate ALWAYS had to be kept shut because of my mothers little dog. While the wisteria was in bloom, we would stand at the back screen door and try to time our mad dash through the gate so we wouldn't be attacked on the way. You brought me a smile just remembering that :)
what kind of bees? if their bumble bees i wouldnt worry, their pretty much friendly, i can stand in a swarm of 60 or more and never once got stung, those little bees are another thing! how old is your wisteria? ive had mine for 5 years and it hasnt bloomed yet, they say it can take up to 4 years till it blooms, im hopin this is the year for mine to bloom.
the good thing about you getting it little is you can train it if ya want, im training mine like a twisted tree, :)
I thought about that. Not sure yet. But the up side would be if I did that I would not have to worry about it if I had to replace fence panel. As I would have to worry if I let it grow over a fence like I had planned.
