Finch right? I had to giggle - I took this picture and a few days later a new gardening magazine came in the mail, I think Birds and Blooms, and there was a picture almost identical to this. It's blurry because I took it through my window.

I LOVE these birds. I don't have ANY birdfeeders in my yard, but I would like to add a few. The last time I did, I had it hanging in front of my kitchen window and would scream when a big black bird would come to eat! So I took it down. Obviously need something smaller so as to not attrack the big birds. Anything in particular that the finches are attracted to?

There are finch mixes available. Or you can put out nyjer by itself. You need a special feeder for nyjer. Or you can get a specialized feeder that only small birds can get on.
