When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. Mary Ann LaPensee
Just to keep the record straight..... All those awesome photos are of Rootbeer Falls on the Young's River. I'll get you up to Troublesome Creek next year because you WILL have two weeks to enjoy the Pacific Northwest..... after the whale/eagle watching ferry ride through the San Juan Islands...... and..... ? You all WILL be here next year! You got great pictures. I was proud of you when you climbed down there to get them! Pretty cool spot, eh?
We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart? The other heart was given to another for us to find.
we really didn't tour a lot. and i shed my shoes, i really wasn't comfortable in any shoes, need to "feel my step" as it were. i loved doing that. it was fun! but the water was COLD.
Is it really named Rootbeer Falls?! I thought someone had said Wallace Falls. Do you know the reason why it was named Rootbeer?
Wallace Falls is on a different mountain. During fast water months, the water in Young's River picks up a brown tinge from the cedar trees along the banks. When it tumbles down the falls, it gets all bubblishishly brown and foamy..... like root beer
and mark and scott did go to wallace falls too, but i won't post the pics until scott and i are on together to make them flow seamlessly, like the rootbeer falls did!
I love waterfalls! Beautiful area! Good plan on not getting close enough to fall in Cindy! We have some swimming holes in these mountains called blue holes. The water is so deep and clean it appears blue. Yup I dove in one once. Breathe, heck no, it knocks the air right out of you its so cold.
You guys got a lot closer than I did. I didn't want to fall in.
I was keeping an eye on you! I was scared you'd slip right in there. I would've went down with Jiffy but I'm clumsy and would've went for a swim by accident I bet.
Beautiful pics, Mark got some too but I haven't looked at them yet.
Wet rocks do get slippery......Glad everyone made it safely. NOw I notice you and Jiffy have something in common..........Dimples. ha ha SO does yours truly..... That was the perfect setting for that photo.....Even Ole Shadow seemed like he was one of the gang........ YOu ought to put that photo on the Home page of your Gardenhelper...... Put somethin like "Garden Helpers United" for a title.. ha ha
Maybe the other sites Jealous........Nice looking bunch we are.
I used to use York Photo Company.......They are cheap .. ANd they made me the greatest photo of my sons wedding .......For only $8.00.
It was a 24x36 Inch photo.......I had ordered it as a 8x10, they wrote me and said it would ruin the beauty of the photo to do that.. Then one day in the mail came the huge tube with it......All I had paid was $8.00..... Every one thinks I paid a bundle.. ha ha Have to show you .. b
