planted these last fall, starting to bloom, need to figure out what I'm going to add to this bed this fall or next spring. Any ideas? This color started to bloom today - love this one!

Unfortunately my filters block me from seeing your lily bed. Actually, I was looking for ideas on how to start one, and how to best design it with various types of lilies. So...I'll be watching for responses to your question. I was thinking of mixing various types, such as calla lilies at the border, etc. I currently just have several lilies in various spots in the garden, rather than having them all in one area.

\ it looks picture perfect! i am at a total loss as to what else to put in there...... :/ i never thought i would suggest this to anyone, but do you like 4 o'clocks??? they may fit nicely among the lilies and when they poop out, the 4 o'clocks would keep on going. they would also get as tall as the lilies. only start these if you REALLY like them as you will NEVER be rid of them! i was soo thrilled when i saw them when we bought our house, now they compete with EVERYTHING!

I saw someone's front yard on the way to the nursery covered with lilies, they had cone flower mixed in. They complimented the bold color of the lilies, there were other flowers too. I will have to do a drive by and take a photo. Hope they don't call the cops. (I was actually going to take a photo anyway and steal their idea.) :)

I do have 4 coneflowers just starting to bloom there also. I was out today and wondered what it would look like if I put these seeds I put around my new hydrangea tree around them...

That is pretty, To have constant color in my bulb garden I plant different lilies that bloom at different times and other perennials.
Asiatic bloom first, then LA Lilies, next to bloom are the Oriental Lilies. To hide the leaves of the lilies and to extend the bloom I plant daylilies, Black eyed Susans and the tall Sedum bloom in the fall (Sedum Frosty Morn, Black Jack, Autumn Joy)

I'm like Cinta, I have different colors of Coneflowers, Salvia, Daylilies, roses, Daisies-white and pinks, Coreopsis--yellow and pinks, Lavender, herbs, Dahlias, Carnations, Calla Lilies, Zebra Mallow, Hollyhocks, Gladiolus, etc. Every bed is a little different but all have lilies and daylilies.
