Maybe this is the best place to start - I posted on the veggie forum but no one has replied ): so I thought I'd introduce myself here!

I live in Indiana and it's been unusually warm already but I'm trying to resist planting early! I have a typical subdivision back yard, and it's just grass right now! I've decided to start a veggie garden and I'm super excited about it...it keeps me awake at night LOL.

I'm even trying some of my own seedlings - I started three trays of 72 last night with sweet basil, mint, cilantro, cumin (I love spanish dishes!), lavender, sunflowers, zinnias, daisies, poppies...I think that's it. I'm probably going overboard but that's just how I do things. As for the actual veggies, I'm too nervous to start those on my own so I'm waiting for our garden supply to get them in closer to planting in May.

Anyway, I hope to learn as much as I can on this forum - so glad I found this helpful website!

Hi Sara and welcome to the forum. Sorry, I didn't see your post. I will go look for it and see if I can help. Nothing wrong with "going overboard!" I always like to jump in all the way! Best way to learn a lot in your first year--good for you :)
