Thanks, I love looking at everyone's Daylilies. I have early, early daylilies that usually bloom by Memorial Day. If you have flowers that look like your Asiatic blooming now they are probably Orientals. Asiatic bloom first (general little or no fragrance) June-July Oriental Bloom next (Fragrant to knock you socks off Fragrance) July-Aug This is one of my Oriental Lilies blooming now and you can smell it 100' away. I cannot get close to it because the fragrance is too strong and my allergies kick in. But it is a beautiful fragrance far away. I took this picture in the evening beautiful fragrance and glows in the dark. When you are buying the lilies look to see if they say Asiatic or Oriental, Orientpet another fragrant Late bloomer or LA.

Yep that is a Oriental. It looks like Stargazer and it is a beautiful one too. Those are your July-August bloomers.

I Love daylilies too! I'm just hooked on them...Iris also...but daylilies are so much easier to grow! My "Darla Anita" daylily opened again today...beautiful and loads of ruffles! I sure wish the blooms lasted more than one day tho...

I am not sure but I do think the Asiatic lily which I raise do last more than a day ..Blooms. I do the Asiatic most cause I arent wild about all the leaves on daylilys..Asiatic goes straight up an blooms on top... I will be lost when my last ones are done......Oriental just opened and there are 2 more types left to go . All are beautiful. d

Found the tag for this daylily, its called September Gold (unreg.) blooms in July and August. Doesn't everything look all sad around it, its so dry. I just gave everything a drink today including my young trees I planted last year. I wish it would rain!

Here's one that bloomed today, don't know the name. I dug it out of the ditch at an abandoned house.

September gold looks so sweet with yellow yarrow.
No rain for serveral days here......I have a large plastic rain barrel I catch the rain off the roof and use it to water with....about 3 feet tall and from soda pop mix of some sort.
It prolongs my watering. Worth a try.
Or yse lotza buckets if you have any.
