I have order seeds for a double purple datura. How do these do from seeds and is there anything I should know about starting these seeds?

Forst, You do realize that all parts of thi plant are poisonous. After that they are easy to start and grow.

Thanks, I grow angel trumpet but got it from a cutting. I knew they were poisonous and even wear gloves when I am cutting on them.

Duantras flowers point upwards.I winter sow my seeds for duantras.I have better luck that way.To keep from re seeding can clip the pods off or when close to dry and starting to crack collect for seeds for elsewhere,sharing or controlng.I have some sown for the double purples this year.I like my triple yellow also. When you place your plants,they do better with morning sun versis the hot afternoon sun.My whites get afternoon and morning sun but are shaded from 11-3.My triple yellow did well but was shaded most of afternoon& grows on north side of house.and with mulch yours should come back from root.

I grow angel trumpets/brugmansia from seed also.I soak mine and sow in peat pots.hopefully have luck with making my own crosses this season
