We had sever thunderstorms this afternoon...

AND A TORNADO WARNING..

I don't think I saw much difference to
what we normally have..for winds, rain, etc..
but we got the flash lights out and stuff,
just to be safe...

There's a big cold front coming through...with possibility of tornados again. It just started raining about 5 minutes ago...and the wind is pretty strong
Cold front just started pushing through here bringing us Tstorms, high winds, and lots of rain....It was 62 degrees out at 7pm before it pushed through...now tomorrow they are calling for snow flurries :p ....it's crazy I tell you...drives me nutz nuts how it can be warm one day and snowing the next.

Hope nobody gets any tornados out of it..... frown

What is the temp right now where you all are at?

It's 24 degrees here according to the weather channel on my toolbar.....I'm the person who's hands are always cold and it's hard to type when they get like this.....LOL Making a lot of spelling mistakes tonight because of it....

It got down to 27 here last night....I think it is only suppose to be in the high 40's today...this is the craziest weather I have ever seen. You are running the AC one day and freezing with the heat on the next! Just crazy!

We had mid 80's here all last week, and Monday as well, then 40 mile an hour wind all day Tuesday, with a low of 24 Wednesday morning. No rain in over a month, and no rain in sight. Ponds around here look like mudpuddles.

A town about 50 minutes away, called Orchard Park, N.Y., yesterday got 16" of snow (where the Buffalo Bills play)..
we got about 3"....
We here are known as the snowbelt area... and
what a difference..
The snow cloud was only 10 miles wide that did the
huge dumping.... one town has a North and South,
one end got 12" and the other side got 4"...
how wierd is that??????

I got home from work about 2:20 AM and the temperature was 27 degrees. It felt almost balmy after last nights 19 degrees. That was at about 12:45 or so. The low for the night was 15! It hasn't been colder than that since the beginning of March. They're calling for a low of 20 here tonight.

it's 40 degrees right now. All my flowers got iced last night. I've got to get better and do some cleaning up outside before it gets too cold. We've got leaves everywhere and I didn't even put out pansys.

We've been having frosts, and finally got about
4" of snow the other day..

And I've had some Nicotiana plants, and I'll tell you they are very cold tolerant, the lower temps have been here for at least a month and a half...
and it wasn't until the snow the other day,
where they are reallllllly sad looking finally.. eek

Weezie, how do you stand it? We get a lot of snow here, and I mean a lot...but nothing like what you get in the snow belt with the lake effect snow....

I'll bet your kids will love it though....hope you have everything you need in case you're snowed in tomorrow!

Always stock up in the winter time, if there's buy one get one free, or 2 for $$ whatever the price..

The only thing I don't do is milk and bread, cause my husbands' job is considered EMERGENCY and he has to be out, and go to work...
so, he's always somewhere's to pick
up something~somewhere's...

I do have a small freezer in my back room,
and stock up on stuff...

And we are sooooooooooo used to it,
I've lived here my entire life..
and that's all we've ever had...

One mayor we used to have during the "Blizzard of '77,
he'd get on the radio and said,
there's a storm coming..."Go stock up, then stay home, get a six~pack and tune in to 97 Rock radio... AND RIP THE NOB OFF...
Meaning stay home and keep off the streets,
jerks....heheheheheheheeeeeeeeee...

We have pictures of me, in that storm, leaning
on our second story porch up on the hill.

During that time, we almost could have touched
the telephone wires by the end of the storm..
I am not lying...

But I live in ski~country...I lived behind the second highest peak in Western NY... *that ski
resort went under due to mismanagement..*
but I live in between two other ski resorts, half an hour on either side of me....
Holiday Valley Ski Resort and Kissingbridge Ski Resort

Wisp Ski Resort

When we ate at the restaurant(me and Jiffy) she got to see the ski slopes....we talked about how we could go and sit inside and watch them and have hot chocolate.... laugh
