Yep ... we have a Maltese falcon in fact... though couldn't find a photo of it.

http://www.birdlifemalta.org/ is the main bird organisation in malta.

Unfortunately we have hunters in malta.... and the gorvernment doesn't want to ban them to gain an extra few votes....

Most birdwatchers, including myself are not against hunters AT ALL. I was a hunter for years. While hunting you carefully observe ALL wildlife. I noticed and became more and more interested in the birds I saw while hunting and eventually lost all interest in hunting and became just interested in looking at and photographing birds. Here in the U.S., hunters have done more to increase the number of birds and improve their habitat than any OTHER group, including birdwatchers.

I LOVED the pictures of the Hoopoe and the Sardinian Warbler.
