Great pictures Kevin, What is the name of the plant which you have posted in the name of "flowering plant from Nevada". It seems not happy, its leaves tips are turning brown. Take care of your plants. All are awesome.
Thanks everybody. :) @ Jean Smith. I don't know what the flowering plant from Nevada is. One of my uncles sent it and I forgot to find out. Btw, I was really busy with school and summer and the only plants that are still alive are the peppers and the tulips. I grew some pepper plants in a window and they made peppers that are ready to pick! I have some new plants too. I have garlics, an angel wing begonia, devil's ivy, 3 different mums, and a croton. I'm still reading and learning how to grow them. I got seeds for okra, peppers, and tomatos too and I dug up a garden for those.
Your rock.. Plants look very healthy.. Hey I once grew a banana tree here in zone 5 . I grew like nuts in the ground. Was huge leaves an about 9 foot tall.. Keep us informed on that.
Wow and thanks! We can't go anywhere this summer except maybe water parks and stuff so I'm going to grow a lot of plants. Dad bought a ton of onion and garlic sets so I can plant those too. :) and more pepperseeds.
@ Dodge. You grew a 9 foot tall banana plant in Pensylvania? Wow that's huge. I'm getting 2 more banana plants when it's spring so I'll let you know how good those grow.
Good luck Kevin, I think I had started it inside early.. It just growing .. maybe Musa banana.. No fruit of course, but the plant was a show stopper here. Everyone wanted to know what is that. Please let us know how you make out.
Thanks Dodge! Good luck with yours too. I'm getting 2 Velutina banana trees next month because the one in my pictures died. I'll add pictures when I get them. I couldn't be online very much because we had to move but now we're in a new house and we won't have to move again, yay. We live in Kentucky now. I lost a lot of my plants but I still have the red and white tulips and I have a lot of new plants too. and there's tons more yard space. I'm digging a 50 foot x 30 foot veggie garden and I already dug a 30 foot x 8 foot tomato and pepper garden, a 6 foot x 15 foot shade garden, a 20 foot x 12 foot shade garden, a 50 foot x 8 foot flower garden, and a 15 foot by 15 foot flower garden. I'm also digging a 12 foot by 12 foot garden for strawberries. If that's not enough there are still more places I can dig.
and you still find time to chat! I was in Kentucky once for about 8 months when my DH still worked industrial construction....the one thing I really remember is how green everything was and how nice and rich the soil was. Happy growing
