Thanks for opening a new thread here, Jiffy! thumbup

I have't finished that pink bear yet - I believe I said I was working on it...
we had a power outage late yesterday afternoon for 1 1/2 hours, and I worked on it until I really couldn't see well anymore. Got the body and legs finished, and now need to start sewing it up, adding the arms and stuffing.

Here she is in her dismantled state...

Cool to see in that state, Lynne. I would have thought that was a scarf or something.

The thing is, Tina, that when you do the regular "knit 1 row, purl 1 row" - stockinette stitch, the ends curl in a LOT. The reason I like this pattern, is that the body and legs are knit from bottom over the top to bottom again. The only thing that needs to be added are the arms. Lots of sewing up, but I don't mind that.

It's hard to believe that this will be a plump bear, but it really works!

It is really nifty to see it unfinished, Lynne. I have made several projects (crochet) where I was following a pattern and had no idea where it was beginning from. I would be more than halfway finished before I would 'see' what I was making and say "AHA!"

Just finished her! I usually put off doing the face, 'cause I don't really know what I'm doing, but this one went pretty smoothly. Hard to believe it's the same thing from above, huh?

[Linked Image]

I was hoping to give her to a girl in Don's office - we went to her wedding 2 summers ago - but he just told me she's having a boy! What IS with all the boys these days?!?

Raising boys vs. raising girls. (psssst I think boys are easier. I have 3 girls, 2 boys and a few foster kids in there. The boys take my vote)

Now that the girl bear is finished, I'm making something different to go with it.
I've been wanting to try this pattern for a few months now.

Can you guess what it is? why Nooooooo - it's NOT a bib! nono

[Linked Image]

I just LOVE these buttons that I found at WalMart yesterday -
they go so well with the yarn!!!

Those buttons are perfect, Lynne. If it isn't a bib, I have no idea what this could be. That looks way too large to be a neck opening if a sweater or anything.

All terrific guesses everyone, but... NOPE! lol why

I stayed up 'til 1:30 this morning to get to this point of the project.
On Friday, I had to frog 25 rows!!! Because I made the project just a teensy bit bigger than it calls for, and things were NOT falling into place. I hope I have gotten it right now, and I only have 1 last part to knit and then sew on the buttons.

Any new guesses?

it didn't happen. Here's the project before it's all sewn up.

Thanks Diane!

Thought I'd share what I've been making the last 2 days.
There are 2 more parts (well actually 3) to go, and then you will see what it is.

But Diane, what if Lynne is being devious and she wants us to think that she would not have us guess such an obvious guess. And so then in reality it IS the same thing as before only a blue version????

lol so did I confuse you enough?? lol
