Is anyone watching the lunar eclipse tonight? I did not even know about it till about an hour ago...............our shadow is almost over the moon now, I hope I will see some colors that they are talking about!

The moon is almost fully covered right now. We have been checking it out off and on. About an hour ago it was a quarter of the way covered. I hope to see the colors too. They said that it should peak between 9 and 10 and it is just about 9 here right now so I will keep watching it.

I looked at it through our Astronomy telescope. It is dark and smoky looking with little or no detail except for the Mares.

I almost forgot about the eclipse, and it's actually clear skies here. Running out now to see if I can see anything. Is it going on now?

I've had a great view of it all night. I must say though, that the eclipse part was much clearer in the first part, than now as it is going away. But there is a pretty reddish color to the moon and that alone made it worth looking at.
