we have baby squirrels that hang out in a hollow tree by the porch. I took a dozen pictures, but my camera just doesn't do well at this distance and with all the busy detail. anyway I'll post the best two. you can't really tell from the pic's how small these little guys are, but the hole in the tree is no more about 3 inches across.

Those appear to be ADULT squirrels they probably DO have babies in their but the two I see are adults. Babies have a full-sized tail but their bodies are only half the size of the adults.

guess I gotta get my yard stick out for this one. bow neener
the hole in the tree is NO more than three inches across. so that would make these squirrels about six inches long from snout to rump. and they are stretched out, at that. I gotta admit the pic's stink. I really shouldn't even have posted until I could get yall a better shot. blush
but, 'em are babies.
