Go ahead and kavetch about the weather and what it is doing to your crops. It will just have to make us feel better.
We have had 2 hailstorms in one week. They were as bad as anything. Sunday it hit my field and the town 3 miles away and got our car. When we got home things were ok. The field wasn't too bad somehow!
Then last night we had a hummer just in our neighborhood and it was dry 1/2 mile away! It didn't even rain at my field. But all my home stuff was destroyed and all my little
seedlings and the pots I just made up were under the deck but the hail came in the side and got em.
I wanted to grab the trays and quick bring them in but didn't want to get beaned. I should have just put on a helmet!
There was a dead baby bird in one pot after the storm.
So it seems to be quite a year for storms and now hurricane season is starting. Best wishes to all of course, but you can't do anything about the weather! (at least I got past the frost danger- one thing you can prevent damage of).
