Hi All,

Thinking of trying some beautiful Star Jasmine (Madison) in a part-shady spot near a window, but I read somewhere that it is poisonous. Since the yard 'belongs' to my sweet 200+ lb. mastiff, Wally, I must be sure I won't be planting something that will be bad for him. Has anyone ever had a problem with this plant?

Thanks! Karen

200 lb. Mastiff yikes

No, the Star Jasmine is not poisonous.

A link to the ASPCA's list of plants known to be non-toxic. There is a mild disclaimer and other info on that link.

I have a Mastiff! He thinks he's a lap dog! Picture of Wally? Mine is a 2-year-old 170-pound English Mastiff (puppy), still growing!

Is ALL honeysuckle toxic for cats or just some varieties? Just purchased a goldflame honeysuckle for my deck but my cat practically lives out there so may have to give this plant away.
