Diane - that canna picture is stunning!!!
And I love the yellow rose - that is my favorite rose color!

Sheri - I had talked a bit about pineapple sage - I love the way the leaves smell when you rub them! But they flower for me about the same time as yours are doing now, and it's a bit too late for the space they take up - my hummers will be gone soon and that was the reason I planted the pineapple sage in the first place - I had read that it was a favorite of theirs. It's not perennial here unfortunately.

Ditchy - I commented on your hummer on a zinnia yesterday, saying that I never see any of mine on my orange zinnias - well today they were on them all day long! Isn't that odd??? Made me very happy though!

those yellow roses are beautiful Diane.

Lynne, I like the smell of the pineapple sage too. I don't know if it's perrenial or not. Guess I'll find out. I think Diane has a good idea about putting it in a pot. Maybe it wasn't you who talked about it about a year ago. Whoever it was I'm glad because I like it and it's done well here.

Sheri - it probably was me who was talking about the pineapple sage - I did really like it when I grew it. It's just that it blooms so late in the season here, that I've decided to grow other flowering plants instead. But even now I can recall the wonderful scent of the leaves.

Ditchy - thanks! I like your sun smiley too! I collect cute graphics whenever I see them, and sometimes I do google searches for particular kinds. I don't really have one place I could send you too - sorry. I have a ton of them saved in my photobucket album and switch them out for different seasons or occassions. This coming Monday it will be time to put the Autumn ones back here.

Diane - thanks so much for posting the yellow rose for me again. I can just about smell it here! Too bad the deer like the roses as much as I do, or I'd be growing lots of them.

Beautiful Diane!

Here is one of 3 spoon-petaled flowers that have decided to bloom this late into fall, on the cuttings that Diane sent me earlier this summer. They are so pretty - only wish they would bloom more plentifully. (is that even a word???)
