now I can see them. Thorn why do birds eat so much when it snows? Or is that all they do all day every day and it's just from our feeders in the snow? Do they eat all the time?

When it snows the coldtemperatures and icy conditions necessitates living creatures to take on extra calories to survive so they will eat as much as they can. Humans RUSH to the grocery store whenever snow is in the forecast to buy WHITE things like bread, milk, and toilet paper. If you will notice, it is ALWAYS white items that sell out first when snow is coming.
