Can anyone tell me of a colorful indoor plant to grow something with beautiful leaves or flowers that would bring color in my rooms?

Geraniums come to mind. Geraniums ( really pelargoniums) come with colorful flowers and lovely leaf forms. And some have nicely scented leaves to add to the mix. They are also very, very easy.

Yes, I agree with Bill that a Croton is a lovely, colorful plant. But might I also suggest a Polka Dot Plant or a Tri-Colored Prayer Plant? I've also had success with Gloxinia. Sometimes these smaller plants can be awfully sweet in a room....

Wow!! I love geraniums never thought of them and crotons are beautiful never had one of them before got to give both of them a try thank you so much for the ideasi it is very helpful.

Violets violets violets ....many different colors and varigated foilage and pretty easy if you watch your room temps .......
