Hello, I just recently bought seeds for a giant suguaro. How do I make them grow? Do I simply put one seed in a pot with cactus soil, cover it up with one inch of soil and put the pot in the sun?

Hello again. Even desert cactus need water to germinate. And is one of the reasons why most are fall or winter blooming. So they can develop their seeds in time to catch the rainy season. So do add water and also keep them slightly moist until they germinate. Which can take a very long time.

I've planted some and they germanated a week later!!!!! There is even some that have small spikes on the top.

Is it ok if I water them with a sprayer every day since the soil dries out quickly? They seem to be doing fine with this method.

I'll try to post pics if I am good enought.
