lol

Thorny, I heard the most interesting bird call the other day and I'm hoping you'll be able to identify it.

It sounded just like a rusted swing or metal sign swinging slowly in a breeze!

What kind of bird would likely make such a call?

By the way, I was in the great Scarborough salt water marsh and there wasn't anything metallic for miles away to make the sound artificially.

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart?
The other heart was given to another for us to find.

Sounds like a Blue Jay. They make a huge number of strange calls, including a PERFECT Red-Tail Hawk screech, a, "TOO-LOO" call, and very famously, a rusty barn-gate hinge squeak or squeal. Blue Jays are members of the Crow family, but like Mockingbirds, can imitate a large number of sounds they hear.
