It was a long few days but totally worth it...we had a great day and lots of fun . DD got EVERYTHING that she needed and more..and even though it was a lot of hard work, people raved about how good of a job I did all by myself. ...and I forgot to take pics of the two of us together ..sorry. ![[Linked Image]](http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u104/tamara-carey/101_0989.jpg) baby shower cake...lemon cream ![[Linked Image]](http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u104/tamara-carey/101_0983.jpg) Sugar cookies ![[Linked Image]](http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u104/tamara-carey/Copyof101_0981.jpg) Diaper cake ![[Linked Image]](http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u104/tamara-carey/101_0982.jpg) Diaper cake centerpiece..baby photo, thank you note

Hi Tamara! The photos look lovely. But if you have a moment, could you add some descriptions or explanations of what we are seeing? It surely does look wonderful & a ton of work for one woman!
![[Linked Image]](//www.agardenersforum.com/images/graphics/buttons/merme.gif) ![[Linked Image]](//www.agardenersforum.com/images/graphics/buttons/gardenhelper.jpg) We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart? The other heart was given to another for us to find.

Dang...that's a freakin' huge baby shower! No way I could pull that off without help from my friend Mr. Beam...Mr. Jim Beam... That's not huge Cindy  ...we only had 50 people invited from DD's side(all aunts, 5 cousins and 5 friends and their moms..tried to keep it small~her boyfriends family live in another province now)..over 40 attended. Most family baby showers here have around 150 people invited...but no, I had to ruffle feathers and not invite many~a lot were not impressed but as I said I had to do all the work myself and just couldn't do a larger shower without help.

Tamara you did a fabulous Job,, the cakes look professionally done, Your daughter will look back at these pictures when she is showing them to her child years from now and really REALLY feel the impact of all the hard work you put in to it. What a milestone going into grandparenting, The fun is just beginning! I'm so happy it was all a great success and she got everything she need + cash to give her options, I have a feeling this is going to be a very happy spoiled Grandbaby,, as it should be

OMG I LOVE that ducky cake - you are incredible Tamara!!! Everything was very well done - the diaper cake was beautiful, trays of sandwiches and other food looked yummy and the punch bowl with the ducks too - love it!!! I've never heard of a thank you candy table - what a great idea! I'm so glad your daughter got everything she needed and then some - she's a very lucky girl.

oh my---Tamara--that was one awesome Baby Shower. what wonderful food---I am assuming that you did the ducky cake too?? (you should cater for such events) I am surprised that people are not beating down your door trying to hire you. and Julie got such nice gifts,--she is one lucky Momma-to-be. You sure did a wonderful job, doing all of that all by yourself. I know Julie will remember this forever. Can you "see" me smiling----??? PS I came on earlier and had my post half written when we got a thunder srike very close--so I quick shut down the computer---or I would have posted sooner.

Everything looks wonderful! So professional, you should start a business. You have a very lucky daughter, I wish I had half that talent and creativity.

Thank you all so much..yes I did every single thing you see there(ducky cake also)...except for 3 trays of sandwiches(brought in by aunts and a sis-in-law) Cheryl, I used to make birthday cakes a long time ago but the money wasn't worth it so I started making them as the gift from DD. The moms enjoyed it. Gifts, yes it was unbelievable...her best friend and mom bought her over $300 worth of baby clothes and gifts just themselves, her dad's sisters each spent over $200 on items..can you imagine she got stroller/car seat, high chair, play pen and such from people..they were so generous. My mom bought her an oak dresser, gave her $300 also..DD gave me all her money to hold for the baby..and for me to buy what I thought she'd need, smart girl DD was so shocked to see all what was bought for her..and gifts are still coming in..

WOWE that was generous of people. I guess they thought she could use the items, but still very generous. I agree very wise of her to give you the $$$$ to hold. Gifts still comiong in?? well that is just great. she c an return doubles or triples to exchange for what is missing, althought I cannot imagine how anything could be missing..
