I put in a few raised garden beds and put in some sandy topsoil and now the boxes have ants in them. I put wire mesh and landscaping fabric under the boxes to keep out weeds and pests. I am looking for a way to get rid of the ants with out using pesticides or hurting the seeds I planted the other day. Can anyone help??? Thanks!

Yes and no..in small numbers they are o.k. they even eat bug larvae but can do damage in helping aphids(they use their secretions as a food supply..yuck) and eating weaker plants.
~~Tam~ You can bury all your troubles by digging in the dirt. ![[Linked Image from agardenersforum.com]](//www.agardenersforum.com/images/psd/sunny.jpg)

diatomaceous earth...it works for many insects, don't know the best way to use it on ants, but worth a try dusting it on leaves and near any tunnel openings...it's not toxic to animals at all, very good organic product
