About a week ago i bought a large Swedish Ivy plant at Lowes.
The label says shade..no direct sunlight. uhuhh
I would like to hang it outside but i don't have an area that has shade all day.
Should i keep in inside or try it out in the semi sun?? why
Do they like to be on the dry side?? rolz

Thanks for the help!! notme

Would you be willing to split it and try one half inside and one half outside? I put some ferns I bought inside last week because I had very little shade outside. I thought they had a great chance with the low light there. They died anyway because I have white walls and it was still too much indirect light for them - in only 3 days, too :( I wish I had split it up and tried different places around my apartment.

I had always thought of swedish ivy as an indoor plant till a friend of mine not knowing what it was put it in her garden last summer. It promptly took over the garden and is starting its way into the lawn this year. Her place gets almost full sun adn it did great. But thats up in guelph ontario and we had a cool wet summer last year.
