Hello all I've been away from this site for a few years and remembered it due to a birthday hello I got this week. Thanks. I'll probably be on a lot more frequenly as I'm looking at purchasing my first home and the Gardens on the property need a fair bit of help. Plus I want to start a new veggie garden and I haven't had much of one of those before. the place I'm looking at moving is located about an hour north of Toronto, I think its a zone 3 or maybe 3b.

I'm Jercile and this is my first time here and I don't know if I am in the right place or not. I have a question about my vegetable garden. The question is when the plant are done producing and ready to be uprooted and mulched back into the garden, should I make them into very tiny pieces so they will break down faster or should they be about the size of store bought mulch chips?
Thank you and if I'm lucky maybe I will be able to find an answer.

Hi Jercile ~
I quoted your post down in The Food Gardening/Vegetable Garden forum, thinking you'd get more replies.
It is nice to meet you and welcome to the forum!
