I love mockingbirds. They're fearless. I can take as many pictures as I want and my mocker poses for me. Mr. Cardinal is a chicken. He runs at the least little noise.

In my experience, Mockingbirds can become quite FOND of people! Mr. Mocky (who I am pretty sure is no longer with us) would hear my voice and come flying from wherever he was to land on the porch rail, just 3 - 5 feet from me, to visit, socialize, and have his picture taken. He was FASCINATED by the flash from my camera and would sit there for long periods of time while I photographed and talked out loud to him. Squirrels, too, will also exhibit similar behavior towards people, once they come to trust you.
