She passed away today at 1:00 PM CDT 08/09/10.

I am assuming he is speaking of his wife. She has had health issues and had a mastectomy within the last year. I don't have an address.

Yes. It was my wife, Denise. She passed away from the EXTREME suffering of a Mastectomy and radiation treatments gone HORRIBLY awry. Friday night she said to me that the agony was SO bad that she finally felt like death would be better than living. Before that she had been trying desparately to stay alive. Saturday morning at 7:00 AM she had a massive Grand Mal seizure. I called 911. she was unconscious when the ambulance arrived with about 20 paramedics. They got her to the hospital and I arrived soon after to find her alert, but slipping in and out of coherency. In one of her clear moments she told me that she realized she had had a seizure. The people from the Hospice arrived about an hour later and took her to their intensive patien care facilities. I got there shortly after she srrived. She had a very nice room and the nurses were SO competent and kind. She was there from Saturday at noon, until she passed away Monday at 1:00 PM. She was clear in her senses but was rapidly losing the ability to speak and towards the end was starting to hallucinate. It was actually a BLESSING and a RELIEF when she passed away. I was so glad her suffering was over and SO sad that I will be without her for the rest of my life. Now I am peaceful and accepting and see that I am going to make it just fine after this initial shock wears off.

OH MY Thorny You have my deepest sympathy. I thought this as the case but thank you for clearing the confusion up for us. I know it must have been hard for you to do.  It was comforting to hear that your loving Denise was able to talk to you as long as she did. Remember that you are not alone.

Thorn, We feel your pain. So sorry it ending like that . But happy you were there with her till the end. We share your sorrow, and Praying god blesses you an Her in all the days to come. I am so very sorry for your loss, Thorny. While it is a most difficult thing to have to endure, I'm very glad that Hospice was so competent and nice. You will be in my thoughts.

I am sorry but I just saw this. Thorny I know it took everything out of you to watch her pass as it was when I watched my wife pass feeling like there is nothing you can do is the worst feeling in the world wanting to help you life's love and companion and not being able to. If there is anything I can do please let me know.
