Hello everyone, my name is Ashley and I am 26 years old. I am married with two small children (less than a year apart and currently both under age two!), a brand new puppy, and a small garden. I'd say my "green thumb" is just beginning to bud. About six years ago I would kill anything I tried to grow. But then one day I woke up (this was about six months ago) and I was tired of having an ugly front yard, and I thought maybe my daughter would enjoy a garden in which to explore.

Anyway, I just rotated out all of my spring annuals (finally) - pretty much everything I'd gotten was an annual, so this time I got all perennials for lower maintenance. We had mammoth sunflowers up until about a month ago and I'm thinking of adding more in amongst the new tea olives I just planted. Gardening makes me very happy!

Some of my favorite flowers are hydrangeas, plumbago, poppies, peonies, gardenias, magnolias, and anemones. I'm also a big fan of tea olives (I just love the smell).

Aside from gardening I enjoy reading, shopping (wayyyy too much), writing, singing, acting and camping/hiking. My husband and I also like to cook together. And of course spending time with our children is always at the top of our list!

Can't wait to jump in and get to know all of y'all!

Good grief. With 2 under 2 children I'm surprised you have time to turn on the computer much less garden.

Welcome from your NC neighbor.
