Anyone follow this?..
I know the 2011 for the U.S. will only be out in a few weeks but they gave us a sneak peek on ours this week.
For my region: Yay.. Colder, heavier and more snow than normal for our area in the forecast...just great after having frost every single month this year.
We had the nicest winter ever on record last year..guess we'll pay for it this time around. Definitely going to pick up a book this year to follow.

I was checking out weather forecasts yesterday. And looking at your area too, Tamara. Last winter was El Nino and that made for milder weather for you. This year is a La Nina year and it does mean some nastier stuff for some places. We are to be cooler and drier than normal.(Sigh) Here it is simplified.

Though they estimated the right amount or rain for my area this month their temperature estimate seems to be about 10 degrees off

That was pretty cool and looking at the history of the year past was pretty accurate.

Thanks for the link. I like looking at the almanac. We used to have someone on this forum, can't think of the name, who posted stuff about gardening with the moon. It was interesting.
It says we're going to have a colder than normal winter and some snow. It was wrong for August I'm sure because it says the average temp should be 79º and when it's 100º degrees almost everyday I don't think it will average out to 79º.

You all know what im looking for Their saying cold and dry here....nice thing about the Great lakes is... they are running 10* warmer right now then last yr at this time. Warmer waters and a cold air blast produces some awesome LES snows Looking like it could be a good yr for snow for us. Our biggest issue past winters is , it would warm up and we never kept the base to build on to have a good amount. snow
Don't like the weather in Michigan?..wait 30 sec.
