Boy oh Boy-- My Valarie would be in heaven. she is all about wild ducks. I have made & bought her several different kinds of artificial ducks many of them mallards.

These are large geese, wild ones. I missed them last year, so we went back yesterday. Just snapped the last photo an the battery died..Da So then I missed some amish farmers in the field. Rats that battery.

yea that about the battery has happened to me befor too.
So now I always have a spare set in my camera case----for just-in-case---
but really, those are great photos

Yeah! Those are Canada Geese! We have those in Tennessee now all year.Always look at their necks. Some MIGHT have a light-colored plastic collar with a number on it. That number is the official bird banders number for that Particualar bird. If you submit that number and your address to a certain address, they will mail you the like history of that PARTICULAR bird.
Also ALWAYS remember to carry spare batteries and/or spare photographic cards for your camera whenever you go out. That Way, you never miss a great shot when your battery dies.

Canada Geese are actually quite tame, even the wildest ones. I pet them, they drool and slobber all over me and eat treats from my hand. Just don't go near them when they are on the nest or have young with them or else you will get the beating of your life. They can be vicious.
