I can't believe I haven't come across this site until today! I garden in Portland, Oregon and enjoy having blooms and scent for as much of the year as possible. My partner and I are gradually transforming a boring, grass-covered corner lot into a cottage garden full of meandering paths,
flowers, herbs, and specimen plants. We are about 70% there and have put in over 200 perennials in the past year, along with innumerable bulbs.
Oregon's rainy weather can make for some disappointing
growing seasons for vegetables. And we have slugs this year! Ugh!
I'm super glad to have come across this site while looking for advice on what to do about the slugs, and look forward to learning lots of garden tips from experienced gardeners. Cheers!
