Good morning, everybody!

Yes, sure, Carol, I'll be glad to take a picture or two for you to see the tree when we are done w/ it. I am hoping to find pearl strands which are not on wire but heavy string so they loop right. I really miss living in Cinti at this time of year for there is a FANTASTIC craft shop there which is at least 2 stories high & sells everything under the sun. Around here, you don't have many choices and no choice has great selection. At that place in Cinti, you could even buy glitter in bulk form... a scoop or two of this, a 1/2 scoop of that. Now that's the way to buy glitter! Not these tiny tubes one sees everywhere.

Gotta get Maxi out the door so he isn't late for his ride.

Morning..

Merme, I got my 'pearl strings' at the dollar store...they carry them white, red and gold.

I am back, too sore to even think about moving far this morning but most everything at DD's apartment is done..just windows to wash and floors to get a good scrubbing...and the usual putting up curtains and putting away things. Just one more load of furniture to bring up. I am going to be too tired to even think of Christmas preparations next week egad

I need to read back the past few pages of posts..

Sorry you are so sore, Tam. You've been doing a bear of a job, though, getting the place ready for mom & baby. Kudos to you for all your efforts! I hope the soreness passes soon.

Thanks Merme..I feel just like I have a flu but it's worth it to get it done. The apartment looks so nice with a fresh coat of paint everywhere. Thankfully the ceilings were in great shape and didn't need to be painted.

Did you's get hit with that crazy storm yesterday??

Good Morning, today after work I'm planning on removing the last of the cardboard boxes and Christmas decoration totes from the main floor. We are having a house warming Schristmas Social this weekend and some home more boxes keep appearing instead of boxes disappearing

Hi everyone! Better day at work today and I have PT tonight. I am so sleepy today, not sure why. I'm cooking dinner after PT so I won't be back in here til late or tomorrow. Steak and potatoes for the fam and veggie quiche for me. Hopefully therapy will regenerate me enough to get through dinner.

A very long day today. Up at 5:30, got Maxi off to school at 6:35. Shopping at AC Moore's, a doctor appointment, a trip to Rite Aid and McD's... in and out of that low car, bumping up and down so many rough roads left my back & hip an aching mess. I cut out the trip to the grocery store because I didn't want to be in that car another minute.

At AC Moore's I bought several types of red silk flowers, oodles of loose white pearls and special stringing cord to make decorations for the tree. Now I can't find my glue gun because of having so much packed for the move! boohoo

While there, though, I did pick up the artist's sketch book & drawing pencils Maxi hoped to get for Christmas.

And I bought 5 or 6 nice baskets for my Avon holiday gift baskets.... a white one, two gold ones and three red sparkly ones. I wanted at least one white one for the "Pretty In Pink" basket bec/ pink is not a neutral color. One of the red sparkly baskets might be nice for the Glam Basket. For the Footsie basket, I found cute black socks w/ snowmen & Let It Snow all over them.

And I think I found enough ribbons.

But AC Moore's was badly picked over and it is only 12/7. I don't think the stores ordered as much merchandize as they normally do because of the economy but people are shopping.

I received a Maxine birthday card from my little brother yesterday. It says, "Birthdays are like Butt wrinkles, If you have a bunch of 'em behind you, you're probably old." lol

Good Morning, everyone !!!!

OH!! I used to love Christmas vacation when the kids were home----
I envy you that.Enjoy !!!!

today there is supposed to be an ice storm----but they say it will not come in until after lunch---so I am up early and I hope to get to rehab & be back home long before that begins---Then I will spend the "at home" time getting my Christmas Cookies made.

It seems DH has volunteered me to make cookies for his Christmas party at work friday, during the day. It will start at lunch time & then they will get to leave work early.

I'll catch you all later---- wavy

Good morning. Christmas cookie baking sounds like the best way to spend in an ice storm, Carol. I hope it all goes smoothly for you.
I love having my kid home during the day too. So I am looking forward to this break.

Hi all, stay safe with the ice Carol.

Tina I hope you enjoy your Christmas break from school runs.

Today I have so much to do..yikes. Meat is simmering for meat pies and laundry is going wide open.

I hope Cindy feels better today.

Carol have fun baking cookies.

Tam meat pies are a worthy endeavor. I am glad you are getting to make some.

I've been having such stupidly busy days I can't tell half the time if I am coming or going. Today will be no exception, alas.

But we are looking forward to the weekend. We plan to make homemade donuts & our Christmas candy. That should be fun.

Maxi goes to school through the 22nd, although the 22nd is a half day.

The 20th is our Avon District's Christmas Party & it is going to be potluck so I will cook something yummy for that! Maxi will be going along as well.

Ok, I am blush

I was all set to walk out teh door about 6:45 and it hit me--I have a 9am appt. to have the oli changed in the Blazer at 9. egad

See what happens when you are too busy? The bad thing is had I remembnered earlier I could have gone to Therapy & been back well before 9. As it is with driving time leaving when I did did not leave me time--so here I sit.

In the mean time I think I will begin to mix up a few kinds of cookies so they are ready for when I get back.

everyone have a good one

Tamara leave some work for tomorrow. shewinks

Good morning everyone! Feeling better today, I think the steam last night helped. I'm glad I skipped PT and took it easy last night. Nothing really new here, the girls have a band concert tonight. DH has to go to court to finalize the parenting plan today. That's about it in my world.
