MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I hope you all are having a splendid holiday.

By the way, do any of you have a favorite line or phrase from a Christmas carol?

I particularly like the line "it came upon a Midnight Clear" as it strikes powerful images in my head. I think that one line was well penned.

Course I also like "thumpetty thump thump thumpetty thump thump look at Frosty go!"

I will never forget the day when I was a young teen when the words to the carol you chose just hit me w/ meaning. I'd been hearing that song all my life up to that point but the words, though recited, were a bit of a blur. Then one day I was singing along and it was like an Eureka moment! "Oh come! All ye [i[faithful[/i], joyful and triumphant!" What a great moment!

Still like that song, too.

Here we are at Christmas.. Did get about 2 inches of snow, Hope it is dont, I am packing for the trip to Meet my new Emma.

Maxi got a TV for Christmas. In the box it looked MUCH bigger than it had in the store & it scared us both to pieces! Fortunately for us, once we got it out of the box and set up, it isn't nearly as big as we had feared. Still, we set it up in the living room where it will live until our move at the end of January. So of course, we had some re-arranging of the living room to do. I am keeping all the TV packing stuff so we can repack it for the move.

I got up at 5 and set the table & lit the breakfast candles and got the cinnamon rolls in the oven just in time for Maxi to get up at 7. Now I'm ready for a Merry Christmas Nap!

Cindy--I love the Little Drummer boy--all of the words.

My sister called this morning---and it seems that BOTH her granddaughters have the flu--and they has already spent the night at grandmas---so we opted to stay home---so I pulled out a turkey breast & a few l egs and wil make a small dinner here for Rod, marie & I.---Val & Brian left around 10 and Emily & Chris just left about 15 minutes ago.

we had a nice time this morning, all be it short.

Flu is the pits on holidays, Carol. I hope they are over it soon.
My affair was delayed by an hour or so. But Ted and I are getting ready to head out the door very soon.

Tina, I hope you and Ted have a very Merry Christmas...

Finally got to see Emma Hope today.11 days after her birth. We had a beautiful day.. Just gott homw at 4:30.
Neighbor had me all plowed out when I got home.

More than one angel in the neighbors here.. Bless his heart coming on at christmas to work ..

I am so greatful an fortunate for such a lovely christmas day an all the friends an relatives.. Who made it possible.. All the gang on here for supporting me in any way. merry christmas.

Well I never did make our dinner. Maxi had a good Christmas breakfast & a light lunch and some pick at this and nibble at that so he didn't want any dinner. But by then the potatoes were about done baking in the oven, so we had baked potatoes & I made up a salad. We'll save the meat for tomorrow. However, I did make the old-fashioned Ambrosia and it is YUMMY!

I'm very glad you got plowed out today, Dodge. You are right: some people are angels.

Carol I have also always liked Drummer Boy so I wasn't at all surprised when Maxi liked that song all those years later. He sang it and sang it when he was little.

James, I likley have a list in both areas

So happy to hear that yoiu got to finally see Emma Hope, and on Christmas too, that is wonderful.

To come home & find all your plowinjg done was an added plus. That too was a wonderful Chrismtas gift.
